The legend of Russian Ballet Yuri Grigorovich visits Yerevan Brandy Company

The music of Aram Khachaturian, the air enriched with the aroma of brandy, century aged barrels, keeping secrets of Armenian brandy making ... and the great ballet-master Yuri Grigorovich – these are the key words for describing the mood of the YBC cellar on May 2. Maestro visited the factory in the frames of his visit to Armenia on the occasion of the staging of the ballet “Spartak” in Aram Khachaturian’s motherland.

Mrs. Hasmik Pogosyan the Minister of Culture RA during the visit noted “Mr. Grigorovich is in Armenia by the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and with the assistance of all the companied who supported the idea of staging of “Spartak” in Yerevan. This project is very important for us not only from the artistic point of view, but also because it proved that we can unite our efforts around an important for us idea”.

Yerevan Brandy Company as a big connoisseur of Grigorovich's art organized such a reception named “The meeting of two legends” with the aim to represent maestro both the century aged history of Armenian brandy making and the secrets of degustation. In the cellar Maestro stopped at the “Peace Barrel” of YBC, which keeps the brandy spirit from 1994 – the year, symbolizing cease fire between Kharabagh and Azerbaijan.

Later to the accompaniment of string quartet the guest tasted the pearl of ArArAt range – 20 years old brandy Nairi and shared with impressions “I am wondered, amazed and delighted’’, said maestro.

According to the tradition, the Managing Director of Yerevan Brandy Company Mr. Ara Grigoryan presented Yuri Grigorovich with a bottle of 25 years old brandy Erebuni from the ArArAt exclusive range.
