In the frames of the state visit to the Republic of Armenia the President of Latvia Mr. Valdis Zatlers visited Yerevan Brandy Company. President of Latvia accompanied by Mr. Edward Nalbandyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia visited the Ageing Cellar of YBC, where he was introduced to the richest history and production facilities of the ArArAt brandy.

The President stopped at the Peace Barrel, kept in one of the sacred corners of the cellar. The barrel is called “Peace” as it will be opened when Karabakh conflict will be resolved. Mr. Zatlers also signed in ArArAt memory book.

As a part of tradition Mr. Ara Grigoryan, the Managing Director of the Yerevan Brandy Company presented Mr. Zatlers with a 400L barrel full of brandy spirit. Mr. Zatlers is the 19^th President who has his personal barrel in Yerevan Brandy Company. Here is also kept the personal barrel of the previous colleague of the President - Mrs. Vaira Vike-Freiberga.
